About The Company
Our client, Kane Is Able, was founded in 1930 and is one of the nation’s leading 3PL providers. Kane’s 3PL warehousing and transportation services are designed to meet the logistics needs of consumer goods and manufacturers selling through retailers and grocery chains, as well as ecommerce channels. Kane manages a truckload fleet of 150 power units and 500 trailers, and operates out of 6 million sq. ft. of 3PL warehouse space across 25 distribution center locations.

The Director Business Development will report directly to the SVP of Sales and Marketing. The successful candidate will manage sales planning, strategies and tactics for a designated region or geography.  This individual will perform all duties in such a way as to ensure revenue achievement, new business development, and client retention and satisfaction.
Role you will play:
Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams
Works under the direction of the SVP, Sales and Marketing to help develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products and facilities
Establishes new accounts through extensive territory management, research, cold calling and business relationships
Uses company’s CRM system per the required process and using current protocols
Fully embraces the company’s values, programs, initiatives and culture
Learns and applies the company’s sales program and process, which may require a change in selling approach, method and technique from prior experience
Coordinates with internal resources to ensure appropriate pricing and approvals of all sales within the territory
Provide solution sales, providing a service that is tailor made to meet clients’ needs
Build relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and generating new business referrals
Works under the direction of the SVP Sales & to establish and deliver effective programs and presentations to address the following issues:
New account sales and growth to base through sales activities
Sales of emerging products and multi-product sales
Improved presentations
Pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns
Proper use and level of internal sales support
Management of expenses of the area at a reasonable level
Business/financial issues on contracts
Performs sales activities on assigned accounts and establishes new accounts; negotiates sales price and discounts through the SVP, Sales and Marketing 

Background Profile
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in the supply chain, distribution, warehousing, logistics, consumer packaged goods (CPG) or food industries
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of sales or account management experience
Experience in warehouse or transportation industry preferred
Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management preferred
Travel Estimated at 50% - 60%
